organized morning walks

Postby hamstroll on Sun Mar 15, 2009 12:08 pm

Would people be interested in a location where people meet daily or weekly to network and go for a walk and can be by themselves but safe in a group. Like a Mall walk for better weather. There are some graet locations.
Bayfront Park: (Flat, paved and plenty of parking) out to Princess point and back approx 6 kms (I'll recheck)
Rosedale Arena: (some grades and screened stone) Lots of parking and the end of the line (start point) for the 5C westbound.
Hutches on the beach (paved lots of parking and #11 runs paralell to the route. It is 5 kms from Hutches to the lift bridge. Washrooms at both ends.
There was a West hamilton morning walking club.
If you want to get started (it;s spring and a busy time for health clubs) So for a cheap start, get a sturdy pair of shoes and check out

I am starting Wed at Bayfront. @ the pavilion for 9.

I wish I could join in. But with my health the way it is isn't possible. I really miss my walks at RBG hiking trails and hand feeding the wild birds. :(
Maybe I can get someone to carry me around? Or have someone bring a wheelbarrow and push me around? LOL
